I am an industrial designer with over 20 years of professional experience working on diverse projects, from consumer electronics to high-end office seating. I have the ability to fit into an existing design team to understand and develop design intent, whether it is a concept or a final design for manufacture. Since returning to New Zealand in 2006 I have been self-employed, offering design services to others as a contractor.
AJ Design Studio offers the following design services.
•CAD modelling/sculpting: concept models through to tool-ready models, using Solidworks (2017-2025) and Rhino 7
•Generative/parametric modelling and patterning using Grasshopper within Rhino
•Product development. From concept through to final detailed design
•Product rendering/visualisation, as a replacement for studio photography using Octane Render
•Solidworks contracting, Solidworks model troubleshooting, Solidworks mentoring, specifically surface/sculpting
