Racetech has kindly allowed me to review the Solidworks models of the RT4100 seats that I produced for them. In this video I cover how several derived versions of the seat are modelled and how they reference master models, using the ‘insert part’ feature within Solidworks. I also cover the general modelling approach, which is exclusively surfaces; boundary surfaces, lofts, sweeps, ruled surfaces and the occasional fill surface.
