This video covers what I discovered in my first exploration of panelling in Solidworks. Fairly successful however there is a lack of flexibility when it comes to changing the grid/panel count, as it requires rereferencing most features lower down the treeā¦ Apart from that, the result seems fairly stable when it comes to changes or tweaks to the controlling surface, or the smaller ‘pillowed’ surfaces. I learnt a few things; using face curves and sketch segments to create a grid and then how to derive a diamond grid from the rectangular grid.
